Welcome to ssdsigns (pronounced ss designs) photography. I hope you enjoy looking at my images as much I enjoyed capturing them.

Throughout school I loved to draw and paint. I began to learn how to "hand letter" with lettering quills from the local sign painter Harold Bennett. His unselfishness and willingness to teach contributed to the beginning of Simpson Signs through my railroad supervisor Jerome Williams. Hand lettering satisfied my desire to be creative but became a lost art so I began cutting vinyl lettering instead of using the brush. This eventually led to using a large format sign printer which has given me the opportunity to produce any complex color design via signage, vehicle lettering, banners, stickers, business cards and more.

Then comes photography after our two sons began playing soccer. With the help of Ted Holland and Scott Rigler my love and passion for photography began. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph the beauty of creation, especially birds.

I have shot NCAA football and basketball, NFL football, High School football, High School basketball and soccer along with various Youth sports.
